About Along Wooded Paths
All she wanted was a simple Amish life . . . But now Marianna Sommer finds herself depending on Englisch neighbors. Although proud of living apart from the world, she and her newly relocated Amish family have discovered that life in the remote mountains of Montana requires working together. As Marianna begins helping those different from herself—and receiving their help—her heart contemplates two directions. She’s torn between the Amish man from Indiana whom she has long planned on marrying and the friendly Englischer who models a closer walk with God than she’s ever seen before.
Who should have young Marianna’s heart? What is God asking her to sacrifice? Her traditions? Her community? The answer is found along the wooded paths.

Aprils Lifestyle Show Review on Along Wooded Paths
I am so fortunate to be beginning a new stage in my life, that is about living more off the land, creating our own food, embracing mother nature and all things that go with living on a farm and making it into a working farm. I am really into reading period pieces and fascinated with Amish books. All She Wanted Was A Simple Amish Life, that sucked me in from the beginning. I am not a religious person nor do I read the bible or can tell you any scriptures, it is just how I was brought up but I do enjoy reading and feeling what the characters feel and learn. Marianna is torn between two men, one Amish one is not. But more than the love story aspect she finds herself helping people unlike herself, which in the end helps her. This is a tender book that will make you feel good inside. I think Tricia tells the tales of the Amish quite remarkably and it has me wanting to read more of her books. The story is set in the beautiful mountainside of Montana.
