Well we wanted to be up super duper early for Black Friday but life and family sometimes gets in the way and your needed to help others out. What else is more important than that? I started my shopping a bit early this year and decided I wanted to do some shopping for my mom who was not feeling well. I was at her house late the night before helping her. I got to Walmart way after the mob of people. I was told the lines were crazy at 10:00pm. That was part of my plan and did not make it.
What I totally found impressive is this map they were handing out. This told you where the deals were through out the store. I am like, are you kiddin me? This is awesome. I of course walk straight to the flat screens because I want one for my bedroom. I said I would not put one in there but have changed my mind.
I was thinking that little flat screen would look awesome in the kitchen. Woot Woot my husband was already not keeping up. We had two more shops to get to and that was Shopko and Menard's. My husband was thinking of a deal there for a heater. I had my Walmart add that came out with circled items that was delivered on Tuesday. But I still was talking to my husband about the map that the friendly employee handed to us right when we walked in. We love great Customer Service.
We picked up a few $5.00 DVDs for our kids stockings, these were priced just right. I was feeling sorry for myself that I did not get to stand in line and have fun with all the peeps that were looking for Black Friday deals. #MyBFDeals and my shopping experience can be found over at my Google Plus Profile My husband and I do this every year and I missed out. I wanted to run in the direction of a crazy deal that may have had only a few items available. I could beat any Walmart Shopper in a foot race, I know I could LOL.
We used the self checkout since we did not have to many items. I was so excited to have gotten my electric candle warmers for under ten dollars. The weather was not to bad, it was pretty windy but all in all the morning started out just fine! Did you go out on Black Friday?

I was at Walmart at 9:20pm to see that everything had already been opened & people were nuts! Luckily, I only go for things like jammies, socks, slippers, etc. so I got everything I needed with ease!
ReplyDeleteNope! That is too much hassle for me!
ReplyDeleteI went to Walmart for BF but I will NEVER do it again. My Walmart was not organized at all so I literally got trampled. Target was much better at organizing and keeping things safe.
ReplyDeleteI went shopping on Black Friday too and Walmart was pretty manageable - I hardly waited in line for anything!
ReplyDeleteI never been shopping on a Black Friday. Maybe some year, though. ~lol~
ReplyDeleteI was disappointed in BF this year. We did get a few things but nothing was as great a deal as I'd hoped.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh about your original anti-bedroom tv stance and your mind change...I just did this as well. Now, to find a good deal in a couple weeks when it's Christmas bonus time!
No, it's too crazy for me!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome that you had a map to the deals
ReplyDeleteour Walmart doesn't have self check out but nice score and love the sales
ReplyDeleteBy the time I made it to the stores on Friday, the good deals were gone.
ReplyDeleteI didn't do black friday this year because I was out of town. Looks like there were lots of great deals!
ReplyDeleteYou are braver than I am!
ReplyDeletetoo many people get killed or injured on Black Friday for me to want to go out!
